Glass table tops

Glass cut to fit your table, desk or furniture, either to protect the surface or as the top itself on a base. Pick a shape, edge and thickness to see it.

Protect a table or make the top

A glass protector and a glass top on a base do different jobs. Tell us how the piece is used and we recommend the glass for it.

  • Furniture protectors

A fitted glass layer over a dining table, desk or credenza that keeps the wood visible and protected from spills and scratches.

  • Dining and coffee tables

A glass top made for its base. The size, the overhang and where the base supports the glass decide the thickness.

  • Desks and conference tables

Glass planned around the work surface, seating and base, with any cutouts agreed before the glass is made.

Shape, edge and thickness

Everything is decided before the glass is cut and tempered, because tempered glass can’t be cut or drilled afterwards.

  • Shape and corners

Rectangle, round, oval or a custom outline, with rounded or clipped corners. Unusual shapes may need a template from the furniture.

  • Flat polished edge

A crisp, square edge with a clear polished finish.

  • Pencil polished edge

A softly rounded edge that feels smooth to the touch.

  • Beveled edge

An angled border around the top that catches the light.

  • Thickness

1/4″, 3/8″ or 1/2″ glass, chosen by the size of the top, how it is supported and how it is used.

How a table top project works

Start with a photo of the whole piece and rough sizes.

  1. Photos and rough sizes

Send a photo of the table or furniture and its base, the length and width, and how you use it.

  2. Measure

We measure the piece and note the corners, overhang, cutouts and any uneven edges.

  3. Cut, edge and temper

Your glass is cut to the agreed outline, the edge is finished and the glass is tempered when needed.

  4. Delivery and setting

We bring the glass and set it on the furniture or base so it sits evenly.

Mon–Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm · Saturday by appointment

Can you make glass to protect a table I already have?

Yes. We look at the surface, the size, the edge shape and anything raised, like trim, before choosing the glass.

Which thickness should I choose?

It depends on the size, how the glass is supported and how it is used. Send the furniture details and we recommend one for the piece.

Can the glass be cut after it is tempered?

No. Sizes, holes and edge work are all finished before tempering, so we agree every detail first.

Can you match an unusual shape?

Yes. Custom outlines are possible. An exact template may be needed, and your estimate confirms the shape.
